The well-known Latin singer, Diomedes Núñez, passed away at 58 due to health complications that led to a sudden heart attack. The former leader of Grupo Mío, originally from the Dominican Republic, had shared in an interview in 2024 his struggles with high blood pressure, gallbladder issues, and kidney problems.
After his death, fans paid tribute by expressing their sadness: "Our Diomedes will live forever through his good music," "What such sad news!" and "A great of merengue and a great friend," among other farewell messages. His remains were displayed at the Blandino Funeral Home and finally buried in his hometown, Valverde Mao.
