Major League Baseball (MLB) announced the second result of Phase 1 of the All-Star Game voting. Dominican players Teoscar Hernandez, Fernando Tatis, and Ketel Marte, along with Venezuelan Luis Arraez, stand out as they compete for a spot on the National League team.

Teoscar Hernandez, outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has garnered 1,413,877 votes, surpassing Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres, who led in the initial vote count for the third outfield position in the National League. The outfield competition is currently led by Jurickson Profar and Christian Yelich.

This season, Hernandez has been instrumental for the Dodgers, leading in home runs and RBIs, helping his team stay atop the National League West. Meanwhile, the Padres, with standout Tatis Jr., remain strong contenders in the competition.

In the battle for other positions on the National League team, Ketel Marte has surpassed Luis Arraez. Arraez, a batting champion in recent seasons, contributes to the Padres with a high average and solid offense. On the other hand, Marte, who came close to winning the Most Valuable Player award in 2019, showcases his potential with his stats in home runs and RBIs.

In the National League, William Contreras leads the voting for catchers, Manny Machado shines at third base, and Mookie Betts leads at shortstop. Marcell Ozuna follows Shohei Ohtani in the voting for designated hitters, and Bryce Harper stands out at first base.

In the American League, Jose Ramirez and Jose Altuve lead at third and second base respectively. In the outfield, Aaron Judge is at the top of the voting, while Adley Rutschman leads among catchers. At first base, Ryan Mountcastle is ahead of Guerrero Jr.

Phase 1 of All-Star Game voting will close soon, and an exciting match is expected to take place on July 16 in Texas.
